Hello Sundance! This is going to be one helluva of a festival. I’ve posted the exclusive MTV trailer of “The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke” so y’all can get a taste of one of the ten film shorts Indiewire says you must see this weekend in Park City. I’ll be posting updates on all the action. For a good read on how this film project came together check out the Salt Lake Tribune’s piece on the movie.
I really enjoyed the lede:
Back when Luther Campbell was the leader of the legendarily foul-mouthed rap group 2 Live Crew, the 1962 French film “La Jetée” was never name-checked in songs such as “We Want Some P____,” “Me So Horny” or “If You Believe in Having Sex.”
I’m going warm up Park City, Utah, with my 305 swagger come Jan. 19. In case you haven’t heard, The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke made the cut of 64 movies to be screened at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival ’s short film program. I’m a proud supporter of the arts in Miami so I was honored when Evan Rosenfeld from Rakontur, Lucas Leyva from the Borscht FilmFestival, and filmmaker Jillian asked me to star in the film, in which I become Miami’s mayor amid a mutant Apocalypse. It’s gonna be absolutely bananas.
