Mitt Romney, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, and all the Tea Party crazies are up in arms because President Barack Obama came out in support of same sex marriage last week. It amazes me how these so-called Republicans are always crying that the government is interfering too much in the lives of private citizens, but then they want the government to dictate who you can and can’t marry. The GOP faithful who are against a man marrying another man only believe in freedom when it suits their agenda. When it’s an issue they don’t believe in, all of sudden they become communists.

Skip Bayless is the Rush Limbaugh of Sports Journalism

I have to hand it to Skip Bayless. The 60-year-old ESPN commentator is the Rush Limbaugh of sports journalism. He has built a cottage industry playing the role of the angry white guy on the show First Take, in which he debates other sports journalists and ex-athletes, usually African-Americans, on racially charged topics. For instance, in January 2011, Bayless caused a ruckus when he applauded the fact that L.A. Clippers star Blake Griffin is half Anglo. “Yeah, I’ll be the first to admit on national TV that I take a little pride because he came from a white mother,” he said.
